On the one hand she devotes herself selflessly to the care of her family, on the other she is almost an accomplice in keeping her brother addicted.


But when a young rubenns body is found on the local beach, and the following day Elvira’s hard-working cleaner, Ania, goes missing, Rose finds herself embroiled in a murder investigation that threatens the idyll she has worked so hard to establish. One ruebns London’s minor communities, the Jewish community is studied at a very rhe level and this study reveals Middleton’s mastery over the subject.

I found the Rabbi an incredibly endearing character.
